The calculation

  1. 120 × 2 × (1 + 10/100) ÷ 250, rounded up = 2 kits

How to plan the quantity

Add the uncovered areas only once. Multiply net area by coats, then apply your allowance and divide by the coverage of one complete mixed kit.

Keep primer and topcoat separate because their coverage and coat requirements can differ. This worksheet counts one coat of each when its coverage is entered.

A mixed kit is the unit being purchased. Never change a component mixing ratio to make a partial kit fit an area result.

Before you order

  • This does not select a coating, preparation method, mixing ratio, application time or chemical-safety procedure.
  • Use coverage for your actual surface and specified thickness; a generic square-foot rate does not establish adhesion or suitability.
