Common questions
How much epoxy do I need for a garage floor?
Multiply the floor area by the coats, add your extra and divide by the coverage of one mixed kit, rounding up. The kit label gives that coverage for a stated thickness and surface.
Can I mix part of a kit?
Use the mixing ratio in the maker’s instructions. Buy whole kits rather than changing the ratio to stretch or shorten one.
Are primer and topcoat counted?
Separately, because their coverage often differs from the base coat. Enter each coverage and the calculator counts one coat of each.
How to plan the quantity
Add the uncovered areas only once. Multiply net area by coats, then apply your allowance and divide by the coverage of one complete mixed kit.
